E-core
Pot cores are made of different soft ferrites (manganese zinc and nickel zinc compounds) and
they are characterised by a wide variety of optimised parameters for the according application.
E-Cores are normally very cost-effective producible due to the for automatic production suitable design of the coil formers. The conventional EF-Cores with angular shaped center leg are available in a wide range of sizes. The EFD cores are characterised by a minor height. ETD cores due to their round center legs are best suited for applications with thick wires or strands as well as copper membranes. The EVD type series are at an optimised rate of size (esp. height) to the transmissible power. The EQ cores as well form a very compact type series.
